Austin Mahone Official Music Video Say Somthin’

Austin Mahone has finally released his first official music video for “Say Somthin’”. The music video finally dropped on September 11th, which should make the newly signed 16 year old feel accomplished. While we have no word on when he will release his debut album, it is a start on what he and his fans expect to be a long, healthy career. Austin has been following the footsteps of Justin Bieber by getting his career launched on YouTube, whom he claims that he is not trying to copy. If you haven’t had the chance to see his video, you can watch it down below to hear and see his musical style as a professional singer now.

I am happy for him, but you can clearly see his label trying to fit him into the Bieber mold. The hat and outfit scream way too much of Justin, which I guess will work in Austin’s favor but certainly won’t help the rumors. He has been battling the rumors that he is copying Justin Bieber for so long now, so I don’t think this video will help his cause at all! However, I do think we should focus on Austin Mahone and his music alone, not on who the label is trying to make him into.

Do you like the video? Does it look like he is copying Justin in the video in your eyes? I don’t think anyone could really deny that, but I doubt that was his idea. I am sure he wants to be respected in the field for his own music, not on whom he is like. So it isn’t something that I would assume he would be aiming for at this point. Now what I do think is that he was following Justin’s path to get noticed on YouTube (which worked), but the label of course assumed that they could make a mini version of Justin and that is where he is at now. It is a shame, but he is newly signed and I am sure like most signed singers he doesn’t have much say in his career at this point yet.
