X-Factor Wants Nick Jonas As Mentor

By on August 30, 2012

Nick Jonas appears to be in demand to join some sort of talent show. He is now rumored to be his friend Demi Lovato‘s mentor for The X-Factor hopefuls. This news come at the heels of Nick talking about American Idol and the possibility of it not being the right fit for him. He will reportedly help Demi pick tweens from the 12 to 16 category for the live shows. While the role will be extremely minor compared to Demi’s, it would be interesting to see how it could change his possible gig with American Idol. Nick has confirmed that he is being considered to join their judging table, unlike his silence on this topic so far.

I am suprised that he is being considered for both gigs, which air on the same network. It seems way too bizarre for Fox to do that and the shows. Now I won’t say that he couldn’t find a way to do both shows, but it seems unlikely due to the contracts. However, if he could find a way to do both shows, I would be more than happy for him. It shows just how respected he is in the industry and it will also allow him to find a career path outside of performing. It could be a wise move to make for him to carve out a path for when he is ready to settle down and no longer wants to tour.

How do you feel about this rumor? If it was up to you, which show would he thrive more on? I would like to say American Idol, but I am not sure if has the time needed for it. So settling for a mentoring role might be more of his pace for right now. However, he could always surprise us and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does become attached to at least one of these shows. It seems like this just confirms that he will be on some sort of talent show very soon, don’t you agree?
