Ubisoft Introduces ZombiU for the Wii U
Zombies have become this decade’s hit genre or trend, mean movies and video games are just a symptom of the trend. So it should come as no surprise that Wii U is about to have a zombie themed game coming out. The game will be called ZombiU and will be a first person type of game. The goal is to survive a zombie take over in the foggy nights of London. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft. The game is slated for a 2012 release, along with the Nintendo Wii U. No official release date has been set for the game, but you can watch the trailer for it down below.
I am not big on the zombie craze, but I do think this game will do well. I just wonder how easy it will be since it will be using the Wii U tablet because it doesn’t seem to be something that will provide for easy aim. I would it would be better if they kept the old remotes (Wii-motes). Those would be easier to use in a first person shooter, but it seems like Nintendo is big on making the Wii successor different. I wonder how much backlash they will face over that? I could see it being a huge issue, but I hope that won’t hinder the game’s sales.
How do you like the trailer? Does it sound like it will be a good game? I think it will please the hardcore gamers, but I don’t know about the core Wii players. I sort of feel like Nintendo is not sure where they want to go and thus, they risk abandoning one group of players. I hope they find their footing and we can see a nice wide range of games for everyone. I think that is important they keep their demographics wide open for the sake of their fans and gamers who will buy the new console.
