Taylor Swift recently offered congratulations to a few Olympians on Twitter. She sent the following message to Alexandra Raisman and five other Olympians:

CONGRATS Alexandra Raisman and all of the fab five on your incredible win!!!

Alexandra sent the following response:

Thank you so much Taylor! You just made my night! You are my favorite singer!!!!

Taylor also sent a message to Missy Franklin:

So blown away by Missy Franklin! I was so happy to see you win, girl:)

It’s great that social media makes it easy for fans to connect with celebrities, and now starstruck celebrities are connecting with athletes they admire.
