Rumor – Kristen Stewart Beats Jennifer Lawrence For Role?
Competition between Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence is still strong according to some reports. Recently both actresses went up against each other for the role of Peyton Loftis in Lie Down in Darkness, only for Kristen to be the winning star according to the reports. The movie will be based on a novel first published back in 1951 of the same name, written by William Stryon. The character of Peyton reflects back on her life after her death. While no release date has been released, the studio has declined to confirm any stars for the role. You can find out more about the competition for the role in the video down below.
I know a lot of Kristen fans will be happy for her, but I sort of feel bad for Jennifer. I think Kristen has already become attached to another huge movie (Snow White and the Huntsman), while Jennifer currently has The X-Men and The Hunger Games. While those are not bad selections, I still feel like she could have used this role as an even bigger stepping stone for her career. Granted, some can argue that Kristen needs this now more than ever, thanks to her recent drama. Either way, it is still up in the air until they officially name the star who lands the role.
How do you feel about this rumor? I think a lot of people want to pit them against each other for playing female leads in hit franchises. So I sort of feel like it isn’t fair to the either of them. However, they both have great chances of having hot careers that will only grow in demand as time goes on. I don’t think this role will change much of that for either one of them. Who do you think would be a better choice for the role? As I already stated above, I am on Jennifer’s side.
