One Direction Brings What Makes You Beautiful To Olympics

By on August 15, 2012

One Direction recently sang at the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics along with many of the UK’s best perform on for the day. They sang their hit song “What Makes You Beautiful” on the stage and poured their hearts out for fans their home teams. Best of all, it was captured on film for the fans who haven’t seen it yet or for those who want to relive it all over again. You can find the video of their performance down below, if you wish to see more of the boys or to hear their biggest performance since their tour ended. The good news is that they boys are lined up for a few more sparse shows (according to themselves) before the year is up, so you may still have a chance to see them live this year.

I am glad that they did do the show. I think it means a lot to them and also makes history since when will London have a fair shot at hosting the Olympics again? Not anytime soon I would think and thus, this was all that more important for them. It will likely become one of their favorite performances or easily an iconic one for them. I am sure Simon Cowell must feel so proud of these boys and the fact that they now represent their home.

How do you like the performance? Does One Direction represent London and whole UK in your eyes? For most who are not from their native land, I would say yes. But I understand how they cannot do that competely since no one can. But at least they did have a memorable performance that will likely follow them around for years. I doubt they will be allowed to forget that big moment in their young careers, that most people never have the honor to do-even in big and successful careers.
