One Direction Announce New Album and Lead Single

One Direction fans had a chance to rejoice today, the band confirmed the news for their new single and album (which they buzzed about with the Twitter tag “#1DBigAnnouncement “). The single is called “Live While We’re Young” and will be released on 2 different days for the UK and US. September 30th is the release date for the single to come out in the UK, while October 1st is set for US. The album is slated for a November release, according to the boys as well. This single is their fifth one over in the UK. I am glad that they have finally released this info and that it is coming out on the schedule that they wanted. That takes a lot of dedication, especially after being on a crazy tour like they were. They must have spent all of their time off so far on the album just to make sure it would come out on time. That makes me happy and proud of them, but I also hope that they do make time for themselves to time off. I am sure they could use a real break and now that the album is almost out, then they should be allowed to have some serious time off.

How do you feel about this news? Are you excited for the single? It sounds like it will be interesting to hear. I have high hopes that we will hear a more mature and serious side to these guys, or at least see how far they have come in their career. That is always fun to see and I am sure we all like to see how they have grown. But at the same time, we also need to hope that they keep up with what made them famous-their fun pop songs.It seems like it is safe for us to expect that they will, but any new album always holds a risk about unwelcomed changes.
