Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is heading to 90210 on the October 29th episode. He will be guest starring as AnnaLynne McCord and Josh Zuckerman’s resort neighbor. CBS has just confirmed the info, which comes at the heels of Ryan’s wish to be on TV- more specifically reality TV. No word on who he will play on the episode, but it sounds promising for Ryan and his fans who wish to support this champion. Here is what Patti Carr, executive producer of 90210 had this to say about the guest appearance and on if he would swim or not.

“We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land,

It sounds like his crazy career is only going to get that much more crazy for him. I wonder how he feels about this upcoming role? I am glad that it won’t be about him swimming. He does deserve attention for other reasons and not just his amazing swimming skills. I am sure he has considered his other options and who knows, maybe he wishes to become a TV star next. After all, I am sure he is aware that he cannot always swim in a competitive natural and knows that he needs to find a new career path soon. So I think he should use this as a stepping stone for his own benefit.

How do you feel about him guest appearance on 90210? I am happy for him, but I am not sure what the purpose of it beyond just being fun or testing the waters. I would much rather see him stick to fiction shows and avoid reality dating shows (even if that’s what he wants). I think sticking with fiction shows would be the best route for him to go and also it would prove that he is much more serious than some reality star. Lets hope that he will like it when he does appear on 90210 and maybe be bitten by the acting bug.
