No Selena Gomez “My Dilemma 2.0″ Planned For Release

Selena Gomez had her fans hopes up since June for a remix of “My Dilemma” hinted by Rock Mafia and Hollywood Records for a late August release. Now it turns out that it “My Dilemma 2.0″ be released at all by Hollywood Records, according to Rock Mafia now. They made the announcement via Twitter and said that they will keep on begging Hollywood for the rights to release it via SoundCloud. However, that has yet to happen, though they do promise to keep the fans in the loop all about any future release of the song. Here is what they tweeted about the remix.

BAD NEWS , its our understanding that hollywood records has decided not 2 release MY DILEMMA 2.0 , its out of our control sorry…also not sure who started the rumor about it coming out today , but it wasn’t true, we’ve been working around the clock to get it out , i will beg hollywood recs to let us post it on our soundcloud , stay tuned

I am glad that Rock Mafia will work hard for the remix to see the light of day. I am not sure why Hollywood would change their mind when they went out of their way to tease fans. It doesn’t seem fair for Selena’s fans and those who were excited to hear it. They made such a hype about it and now they pulled the plug, it seems classless of her label. I wonder how Selena Gomez feels about this news? Granted, they might have made that decision to save her next big release to be a new single off her next album. That would make sense and dare I even say, a possible smart move on her half?

How do you feel about this news? Is it surprising or typical? I say it was typical, since a lot of people have had issues with Hollywood Records, so I won’t say that I am surprised by this news at all. It seems like something that we could count on sadly and I doubt that will be changing anytime soon. They seem happy to limit what they do or do not do for their acts, regardless of how popular the said talent might be.

   That’s Hollywood for u…..not fair. I’m sure she’s used to that kind of disapointment….not that she should be, I mean she’s beautiful, she has the best career EVA, and her fans love her! Like me…haha

   The reason they can’t release it is because Selena’s contract states that she can have a max of 3 singles per album…. She mentioned it in a video back in 2008 when she was signing the contract for her first album……
