Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder Record Special Message For Gabby Douglas

By on August 12, 2012

The Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder recently shared an order of congrats to Gabby Douglas and rest of the US Female Oympic gymnastics team. They took the time out to share their congrats to the girls who took the gold for team all-around and also Gabby, who won the individual all-around-a first in American Olympic history! Best of all, is broke even more records since Gabby is the African American woman who took the honor. Nina, and rest of the gang did not want to let that go to waste, so they promptly filmed a video for Gabby and her team. You can hear what lovely messages they had for them in the video down below.

I love that they wanted to send their congratulations to the girls. Nina must feel so proud since she herself used to be a gymnast! I suppose that is a huge reason as to why she felt the need to issue them a lovely video. However, it is nice to see that Paul and Ian also joined her. I am sure those girls have watched their show and must feel like a million bucks that they got their attention. All three of them are pretty big stars, so it is a huge deal for the team. However, I do think we all can agree that this is just the tip of what they will experience once they come back home to the US.

How do you like Nina, Ian and Paul’s video for the girls? It was a lovely surprise and effort, but something that really is a smart PR move in hindsight. It gets their names back in the spotlight and also helps to remind us all of Nina’s own gymnast past. However, I do feel like we should put the focus on the US team since that is who they made it for. Let’s no allow this video to shine on those who it was made for, the US gymnastics team.
