New Wreck-It Ralph Promo Still

By on August 8, 2012

Disney is working hard to promote Wreck-It Ralph and they just released a new still from the movie. While it won’t premiere until November 2, the movie will be about video game villain Ralph who decides he wants to be the good guy and throws himself into a whole new game. Of course, this means he has to battle other bad guys and it is up to him to help save the whole original game. The movie will be out in time for the holiday rush and Thanksgiving weekend. Here is the official description from IMDb if you are curious to see what they consider to be the official one.

The bad-guy character in a classic game who longs to be a hero brings trouble to his entire arcade after sneaking into a new first-person shooter game and unleashing a deadly enemy.

It sounds like Disney is trying to release a new movie that will have wide appeal for a lot of groups. I am excited to see it since this is the first movie ever based on a made-up video game character. It will be a lot of fun to watch and I am sort of hoping that it will do well enough for a sequel or 2 to be made. I think that would be an amazing thing and also to help improve their image a little better than just princess movies. However, it will be something that a wide range of people can support and watch. So it was a good call by Disney to make this movie, if you ask me.

How do you like the still? Does it sound or look like it will be fun to watch? I say so, but I am sucker for video games and it will be fun to see how Disney will mold it to fit their traditional Disney style. If it is anything like its trailer, then it will be an amazing movie. I am sure Disney knows exactly what they are doing and I cannot wait to see what this movie will all have in store for us once it does come out.
