Maria Howell Joins Catching Fire As Seeder
Slowly LionsGate is announcing their new cast members for Catching Fire. Maria Howell is the newest one confirmed for a role. She will play Seeder, who will return from the 11th district for the 75th Hunger Games. She will join rest of the cast in the coming weeks to film the much talked about sequel to The Hunger Games. Catching Fire will come out on November 22, 2013. The first movie in the franchise is about to drop on DVD on August 18th, if you are curious as to when you can actually own a copy of it. As for the official description from IMDb for Catching Fire, here it is.
The continuing adventures of Katniss Everdeen, which take place in a futuristic dystopian world, as she prepares for the Quarter Quell.
I am sure Maria is happy to be attached to such a huge project. The sequel will easily become a massive must see and movie of the year, much like the first one was. I know that if I was one of the new and incoming stars, I would be so excited and nervous. They have huge shoes to fill, but at the same time they are attached to such a huge franchise it is hard to see how they could flop. Francis Lawrence seems to know exactly where he wants to go with it and he is filling the roles up quickly, unlike Gary Ross. It should be interesting to see all of the changes that will be made in the sequel.
How do you feel about Maria playing Seeder? It sounds good to me. I think she will likely do a good job, and I am placing my trust with the director for the sequel. I think they all did a great job with the first one and I see no reason why they would start dropping the ball now. Granted, with a new director some might say that would make all of the difference, but I am going to trust who LionsGate chose and hope for the best since I have zero control over the movie.
