Justin Bieber Gives Olympic Winner Missy Franklin A Shoutout

By on August 2, 2012

Missy Franklin is not just any 17 year old swimmer from Colorado, she is gold medal winner in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. While that is a huge milestone for her and a good enough reason to love the summer of 2012, she also had another reason-Justin Bieber. Like fellow team USA member Jordyn Wieber, she is a fan of the Biebs himself. But unlike her fellow player, Justin actually reached out to her. As you can see in the photo above, he claimed himself as a fan of her’s now! It was a sweet gesture to make for a fellow young star who is on her rise to fame right now. Later on Missy will also have a chance to collect more medals. She thanked him later on Twitter and claimed that she almost died over his tweet!

I am so happy for her! I know that has to mean so much for her, but I do feel bad for Jordyn. We all know that she has Bieber fever really bad and it breaks my heart that he has ignored her. Just because she did not win a gold medal does not mean she is any less worthy of a Twitter shout out. But lets go back to Missy. I think she must really feel like this year is one of her best. We can hopefully see her win more medals, however, even if she doesn’t that is okay. We know she is doing her best and she did an amazing enough job to win the gold, so she should feel as if she has gone above par.

How do you feel about the tweet Justin made for her? I am happy for Missy, but even more happy that she was able to live her dream and win that gold medal. That in itself is the best thing that happened to her yet. Justin’s call was just the icing on her cake. I still stand by the fact though that he shouldn’t have ignored Jordyn. Should he tweet Jordyn now? He should, but he should only do it if he really means it. But hey, that is just my own take on this. As for Missy, I do feel like we all need to wish her a congrats on her big win!
