Joe Jonas: I Am Not Competing With Demi Lovato
E! News caught up with Joe Jonas, who talked about his show and his ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato’s show. He claims that he is happy for her and that they have zero competition between the two shows, which he is happy for. He also defends Simon Cowell’s choice of Demi and explains why she would make the perfect judge in his eyes. Joe is currently seen on The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep, along with his brother’s show Married To Jonas. Demi next month will premiere as one of the judges on The X-Factor. Here is Joe’s full comment on Demi and their shows.
Luckily it’s not a competition between shows. I’m happy for Demi. I think it’s good for her. She can bring something to the show that’s really important — it’s the fact that she’s gone through a lot in her life and dealt with a lot and the fact that she can talk about that on the show and help young artists.
It sounds like he has the right idea, I just hope that this will be fully true. Those two do not need competition between the two of them. Nobody wants that and I doubt that they even want that. I think they have moved on and she is reconnecting with his brother Nick, so I think it is a matter of time before Demi becomes close to Joe again. I think it is wise for him to make sure that is clear in the air, since that will be key for any future friendship that they may develop. At least we can say that he is trying just as much as she is.
Do you believe Joe or not? I know that I feel like he has kept his distance from her since what happened in the fall of 2010, but at least he is making gains this year. I would love to see those two become friends again, but I do realize that might not happen. It would be a shame, but life does move on. I do love the fact that at least his younger brother is working hard to stay close to Demi. In the mean time, Joe has his hands filled with his show and his band with his brothers. So I think we should just allow things to flow naturally between them and their shows.
