Jaden Smith Releases Pumped Up Kicks (Like Me)

Jaden Smith released a new music video for “Pumped Up Kicks (Like Me)”, following the footsteps of his father (Will Smith), sister Willow and his friend Justin Bieber. The song is clever and very fun thanks to it being loosely based off of “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People. However, the lyrics are about skateboarding and trying to win the hearts of girls. Jaden clearly knows what direction he wants to go with his young and budding rap career. He will be releasing a mixed tape in September, and will soon enough start filming a new movie with his father, Will. So Jaden will have a crazy year ahead of him. As for hearing his new song, you can hear it in the video down below.

I am so happy that he released a new video. I was starting to wonder if he was ever going to and I got my answer! He is gifted just like his whole family, so I think it is safe to say that it will be widely like. Who doesn’t love a good song by Jaden or his sister? They know how to sing and rap, something that most people cannot do both. I would think that their parents must feel so proud of them. Just the simple fact that they have been able to have successful careers so early on speaks volumes on what great parenting Will and Jada do.

How do you like the music video? Is it cute or boring? I liked it, he has clearly grown up and he reminds me a lot of his father back when he was a rapper. The apple didn’t not fall far the that tree! I think he could easily have a successful music career, much like his father and sister do. I can see him going far with both acting and music, so I am sure we can expect a lot more from him as he even gets older. However, for a 14 year old he is pretty well advanced into his career and that is something to be so proud of.
