Frankie Jonas New Movie The Reef 2: High Tide Trailer

By on August 28, 2012

Frankie Jonas is following his brother’s footsteps! He has a new movie coming out on October 19th, which is called The Reef 2: High Tide. It is sort of following the underwater theme that Finding Nemo set, but we can expect it to be different. He joined the likes of Drake Bell, Busy Philipps and Jamie Kennedy who also voiced a few of the characters. Frankie will be Junior, while Drake will voice Pi, Busy will voice Cordella and Jamie will voice Ronny. You can see the trailer for the movie down at the bottom and here is the official description from IMDb.com

Trained in the skills of sea power, Pi the fish can fight a shark, sink a squid or batter any random predator that ever threatens his friends and neighbors on the reef. Unfortunately, being the only hero in town can take its toll, especially when a group of sharks declares that the end of the reef is soon at hand.

It sounds like a good stepping stone for Frankie! To work along side of Drake and Jamie is a nice honor for him. Plus it proves that he was in a large enough movie to gain some respect from people in Hollywood. However, I will admit that I cannot help but wonder why he hasn’t tried breaking more into the music scene? That is what his brothers do and I would think that would be up his alley as well. Oh well, at least he found a niche that is all his, and he could make a name for himself by acting, which would be huge for Frankie.

How do you feel about this news? Will it help Frankie earn his own fame or will he forever be seen as the youngest Jonas? I think it is a bit of both for him. To the fans of his brothers, yes he will always be under their shadow. But as his own actor, I can see him coming into his own. Who knows, Drake might be able to help him land a show all of his own (or at least one that will actually come on TV at this point)? He seems to be good at helping others out like that and with his ties to Nickelodeon, I can see how that could become a real possibility for Frankie. Would you watch a TV show with Frankie as the stare and will you be seeing The Reef 2: High Tide.
