Chris Brown and Drake Sued Over June Fight

Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown has been making headlines this year and not for good reasons, which brings us to the latest. Chris and Rihanna’s other former boy toy Drake are being sued for the fight at Greenhouse and WiP nightclubs. The club’s owner Entertainment Enterprises Ltd is seeking $16 million in damages from the both of them. Earlier this year both men and their friends got into a fight and caused damage to the club as well as the club’s patrons. They claim that since they had patrons who were injured that night who sued them, that they need to recover the cost of the reckless behavior by them and their entourages. So far neither of the defendants have made a comment or filed their papers with the court yet.

I have to say that I am surprised it took them this long to file the suit. Both of them caused a lot of bad press and made some of their customers very unhappy. So it is sort of late, but I understand that they had to deal with the other lawsuits for a while. I have a hard time seeing any judge ruling in favor of Drake and Chris. I am sure both of them will have to pay a pretty penny for their actions and they should. They certainly did not do themselves or their entourages any favors by fighting. I wouldn’t be surprised if other clubs ban both guys over it.

How do you feel about the lawsuit? I think it is fair, but I think their request in damages is a bit much. I could see both of them paying eight million, but they seem set in cashing in on these two. I understand that the club was hurt by all of this, but going after them and doing it in public won’t help them. Plus both of them are powerful enough to help urge a boycott of the club. So I would think that they would tread on the waters more carefully.
