Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” Spends 19th Week As Number 1 On The Billboard Charts

Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song “Call Me Maybe” is now enjoying it’s 19th week topping the charts as number one on the Billboard charts. Clearly this is the song of the summer and it even beat Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know” which held number one position for eight weeks straight.

Carly Rae is on to a great start and with her upcoming album(which will be released in the fall), she may end up trailblazing the music scene. It obvious the girl has talent, but I think there is another big factor in play. Her association with teen superstar Justin Bieber probably has some influence on her popularity.

I’m really hoping to hear more about her upcoming album and I wonder when her next single will come out. I guess we will have to wait until this song plays itself out. It’s great to see Carly enjoying the success she deserves but will it last? It’s possible if she can capture and hold the attention of her fans.
