Carly Rae Jepsen Unveils Debut Album “Kiss” Artwork

By on August 17, 2012

Carly Rae Jepsen wasn’t kidding when she said she was close to releasing her new album (which will actually be released on September 18). She just unveiled the album cover via Twitter. The album will be called Kiss and she shows off a glamorous look on the soft pink cover. The uber girly and romantic cover shows a more softer image of Carly that we haven’t seen too much of yet. While not much is known about it yet, Carly does seem to be proud of her work and first official album release. She sounded excited for the album when she tweeted about her artwork for it. Here is what she had tweeted along with the cover.

Check out the cover of my debut album, KISS!

I am really surprised by the cover. Very classy and nothing like the artwork for “Call Me Maybe”. I wonder why the sudden direction switch? It is very random, but nice to see that she wants to be seen in a polished light. I wonder if Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun sort of want her to appear more soft like Selena Gomez? The cover and album title just seem to be very Selena-esque. I don’t know why the sudden change, but I hope that Carly won’t lose her identity along the way. Nobody would want to see that happen to her.

How do you like the cover artwork? I like it! She looks so pretty in it and it was done in great taste. I cannot wait to see what rest of her artwork will look like for that album. It seems like we can expect a new version of her and while that does concern me, it is nice to see her all dressed up. I also suspect that she had to have a lot fun during the shoot. After all, that is the most common dream for us ladies and she was able to live it! How lucky is she? I say very luck indeed, is what she is.
