Carly Rae Jepsen Reveals What Pop Singer She Looks Up To

Carly Rae Jepsen has been heating up the charts with her hit single Call Me Maybe and she has found her place as a force to be reckoned with in the pop music world.  Now the singer had opened up about who she does look up to the most.

Carly has said that there is one pop star she is not looking to take over their reign on the charts.  Who was Carly talking about?  She was talking about none other then new X Factor judge and pop princess Britney Spears.  Carly is on the October cover of Fashion magazine where she revealed, “No one can do Britney again. She did a great job at it. I just want to be the best Carly Rae I can be!”  Carly will be keeping herself busy as she will be touring with Justin Bieber on his Believe tour, also she will be will be making a guest appearance on the hit CW show 90210.  While Carly has not put out a new album in four years she will be releasing her sophomore album Kiss on September 18th.

If you’re worried about the Owl City collaborator all of a sudden going through an arty, conceptual phase on Kiss, worry not. “The record is pop,” Jepsen said in a statement, adding: ”It’s inspired by Robyn, the Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor.”  What do you think about this?  Are you excited for a new album by Carly Rae Jepsen?
