AT&T Releases Victoria Justice’s It Can Wait PSA

By on August 29, 2012

Victorious‘ Victoria Justice has joined AT&T for a new anti-texting and driving PSA, in which she takes the pledge not to text while she is behind the wheel. The PSA has Victoria with a group of other young people who are the target age of this PSA. Victoria recently released the behind the scenes footage, but now AT&T has finally decided to release her first of what we hope to be many.Victoria stresses that she wishes that she could have all of her fans make the pledge not to text and drive, which will be next to impossible. So she makes the fans around her to take the pledge with her and gives the wise advice about making your friends wait to hear back from you for your own safety. You can watch the PSA at the bottom, if you wish to see how it unfolds.

I am happy that Victoria has joined the movement. It seems like she knows that she is in a place where she can make a real difference. I hope that people do heed her advice and make the pledge, regardless of age. We need to keep our eyes on the road and no where else when we are behind the wheel. So major kudos for her joining another great movement, besides the movie from this past spring. She certainly seems eager to use her platform to make a positive difference and I am beyond thrilled to see what next she will take on.

How do you feel about this PSA? Is she doing the right thing or do you think she is jumping on a trend? I think she is doing the right then and I see no reason to feel like she is jumping on a trend. We do need more PSAs and if she is one of the few stars who doesn’t mind doing one, then great! She should do more . But I can see how some might feel as if this anti-texting movement is just a trend because of Justin Bieber, even though I am sure Victoria joined it for the right reason and not because of Justin.
