Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster Spoofs Call Me Maybe
Sesame Street is at it again with another great parody! This time Cookie Monster sings a spoof of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song “Call Me Maybe“. The parody is entitled “Share It Maybe”, which is a fun and catchy educational song. Like their previous parodies, it takes a hit of pop culture and turns them into parodies for educational means. You can watch the cute video down below if you wish to see how true it is to the original and to learn the awesome lyrics. It will be a hit for sure among families and young kids alike.
I am really loving these parodies that they have been putting out. I think they are clever and get the attention of all sorts of people. Plus the fact that they will have wide appeal with the kids who may have older siblings that listen to the top 40 radio stations. It is a great way to incorporate current trends with mass appeal and humor. I think they should release an album of these parodies or a DVD of them. Kids and adults alike would be in line to buy these up and it would be a great way to support the show that runs on the public broadcast systems. Plus it could help breath new life into it, which I am sure they could use.
Do you like the parody? How do you think Carly and Justin feel about it? I think they likely would get a kick out of something so fun as this. Humor certainly cannot be lost on them and they say parodies are some of the nicest things to do to show your love of something. Plus it proves just how popular she has become here! By all means I think this is a step in the right direction for the show and Carly alike. Maybe she could go on the show as a guest and do a live version of the parody with Cookie Monsters?!?
