Photo Released from David Archuleta’s BEGIN Shoot

David Archuleta has prepared a lot of items for his fans to enjoy while he away on a Mormon mission until 2014. So he had his manager release a photo from the photo shoot for his new album, BEGIN. It will come out on August 7th. While the photo is not of the album cover, it provides his fans some eye candy and offers a nice chance to guess what possible single covers might actually look like. Here is what David’s manager released along with the photo via Twitter for him.

I am glad that David has prepared so much for his fans. It will help keep in the forefront and prevent the need of a “comeback” hopefully. While we all know that his fans won’t forget him, I think they need to help remind the music industry as a whole that he hasn’t quit. He just simply set his priorities in the right way for himself. I think that is something we should all admire since not many singers would have done that and he did. I support his choice and I think we can all agree that his album should be received well. His fans won’t let him flop ever and I think he knows that, hence why he decided to work hard to give something back while he is away.

Do you like the photo? How did you envision his album cover? I assumed that it would be classy (which it is). He seems to stick to more classic poses and chooses photos that are not a typical pop album kind. I think he wants to be seen as more than just a pop singer, but maybe more as a standards singer? That seems to be his thing and that certainly is not a bad way to be. But I also think he does enjoy a good pop song and wants to bring his best for her loving fans who have supported him all the way.

   That’s an interesting photo taken by David’s manager Kari while the photographer in the photo was doing the shoot.  It looks like another person is holding a gray-scale nature background behind David.  What I cannot figure out is why the photographer himself seems to be gray-scale so only David is in color? Haha.  And speaking of colors, be sure to check out the two 20-second clips from David’s August 2012 album BEGIN. – you can hear them on David’s official site davidarchuleta (dot com).  And if you are on twitter David is @DavidArchie there – he isn’t allowed to tweet from his church mission so his manager Kari is updating David’s twitter for now and she includes some bits from David’s mission emails. #DA2014

   Single covers? I don’t know if there will be any singles but that’s a nice thought. Kari takes some really nice pictures. and i think she is the one who did the color/black and white effect.
