Is One Direction’s Liam Payne Engaged?

Ah, the price of fame can be costly! Liam Payne of One Direction has someone who is pretending to be him on Instagram and pretended to break personal news about his girlfriend, Danielle Peazer and himself. Liam reportedly “posted” a photo of their hands holding and saying big news was coming up, along with that they were each other’s forever. Then in another photo, he :”claims” that they are moving in with each other and will be taking their relationship to the next stage. This of course is fake, since Liam has already moved in with Danielle back in June. The good news is that his rep already beat him to the punch or next phase of the rumor and said that they are not engaged! The poor couple is clearly being faked on Instagram.

I feel bad for Liam, but I am glad that the truth came out. I would hate to see his fans panic over rumors that hold no grain of truth. Liam and his girlfriend have a right for privacy and that includes what they will do with their relationship. I personally think that if he ever had anything big to say, that he wouldn’t do via social media. I would assume it would come from his rep, since that is what they are for.

How do you feel about these rumors? Do you think Liam should find out who is pretending to be him and have Instagram shut it down? I do, and I think they should follow Twitter’s example with the whole verify process. That way people can follow and trust that they are real celebrities. It would help cut down on a lot of potential rumors being started off Instagram, sort of like this one. It would give celebrities and their reps a serious piece of mind, as well as for the fans.
