First Previews of Joe Jonas’ The Next: Fame At Your Doorstep

CW is about to premierr one of their newest shows called The Next: Fame At Your Doorstep which will be their music competition. They just released a couple of previews for the series, which will premierr on August 16th. The show will have Joe Jonas as a mentor for some of the hopeful stars who are wanting to win the series. You can view the first batch of previews down below, if you wish to get an idea on how the show will work.

I am glad that we finally get to see a little bit of the show. A lot of us were curious to see what they were going to do with the series and how the mentors will be involved. I think they gave us a pretty good idea of what we can expect. I feel like it will sort of be a mash-up of American Idol and The Voice. So I can see it doing well, maybe even up to the America’s Top Model level of success. If that is the case, it will be a great thing for the network. I think the real question will be if fans will be willing to tune in for another music show and not stick the current 3 that are out there today.

Are you excited to see the show? Not exactly, but I do think it will be fun to see if it will be decent. I do support their need of having real musicians or singers as mentors. It should help the contestants that much more, since they could use some real advice. I have a feeling that most of them will be kind and have some great advice that they wished they had when they started. I personally do like the concept, I am just concerned on how they will execute it. That has yet to be seen and to make it the biggest risk that they have with the series as of right now for CW.
