Disney/Pixar Announces Finding Nemo Sequel

It has been teased about and Ellen DeGeneres has gushed about how much she would like to do a Finding Nemo sequel now it looks like her wish may have come true.

Disney/Pixar has just announced that they will be making a Finding Nemo 2.  The film is set to be directed by Andrew Stanton who co-wrote each “Toy Story” movie and “Monsters Inc,” and he directed “Finding Nemo” and “Wall-E.”  The screenplay for the sequel movie will be written by Victoria Krouse with Lindsey Collins signed on as the movie producer.  Unfortunately, the movie is not set to appear in theaters until 2016.  Sounds very exciting.  While no details have been given yet on what the plot will be this will likely be something to talk about.  When Finding Nemo was released and it received critical acclaim.  It would be no surprise that after the flop of John Carter Disney is eying movie’s that have an enduring appeal.

Many Twitter reactions to the news made a comment that the movie should be called Finding Nemo 2: He Got Lost Again?!  Many also have commented this is just another way to bring back some tried and true merchandise gold.  Are you glad that there is a sequel to Finding Nemo?
