Demi Lovato Rumored To Host 2012 Teen Choice Awards

By on July 5, 2012

There is a new rumor online about Demi Lovato, and this time it isn’t a bad one! It is claimed that she will host the 2012 Teen Choice Awards which will air on July 22 via Fox. The network has yet to announce a host, but it does sound like a possibility. Demi nor her camp have issued a statement on the rumor. Her friends Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez both will attend the show. Demi is currently filming The X-Factor auditions and is on tour as of now.

I am hoping that it is true. I think Demi Lovato could do the job well and also help build the buzz up for her show. However, I also know that she has a lot on her plate and she does not need to overwork herself. She has been through a lot and she admits part of it was over her not taking care of herself. So I don’t think she needs to run herself ragged, even if hosting would give her a chance to be back on TV and help prepare her for the near future. Her health should come first no matter what and if hosting is not something that she feels ready to do, then so be it. I am sure they could easily have more than one person on their minds, regardless if Demi is attached or not.

How do you feel about the rumors? Should she host or not? As I expressed above, I am torn on it. I want whatever is best for her sake and no matter what that is, I will support it. She already has a lot going on and we must keep that in mind. Sure, an one time hosting gig might not sound like a lot of work, but it is. They have to do fittings and rehearsals, which are time consuming. It might be a tough call for her to make if they are considering her, but then again this rumor may have zero ounce of truth to it. It remains to be seen.
