Trace Cyrus and Brenda Song Call Off Their Engagement

While Miley Cyrus celebrates her engagement to long time boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, but Trace Cyrus has announced that he has called off his engagement to Brenda Song.

The two actually broke off their engagement a couple of months ago, but it was Trace who announced that they split up a while ago and that they have decided to continue on their separate paths and focus on their careers.  The rock musician – brother of Miley – and the actress had announced they were to tie the knot in October last year, but decided to part earlier this year, blaming their busy work schedules.   The two of course have asked for respect and privacy during this time.  Trace is the former singer for rock group Metro Station and now performs under the name Ashland High, as well as running his Southern Made Hollywood Paid clothing line. Brenda has previously starred in ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ and also recently appeared in ‘The Social Network’ alongside Justin Timberlake.

The decision to make this public may be due to his sisters recent announcement.  Although, it does appear strange that the break up was a couple months ago and there was little fan fair in the event.  What do you think of only one Cyrus heading down the aisle now?
