The Today Show Pays Homage To Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth

By on June 10, 2012

Now that Miley Cyrus is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, the world has been buzzing about it. In fact, morning shows took on the topic. The Today Show paid homage to the couple with highlights of their careers, meeting and relationship. The video homage was a nice touch for the 19 and 22 year old couple. However, it also shows a clip of when Miley embarrassed Liam after a night out, which has made many people question the engagement. You can catch the video homage and some comments about the couple down below. As of now, no wedding date has been unveiled yet or plans.

I am happy that so many people are sharing their love for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, but I do feel it is tacky that they put so much stuff into it. We know that their 3 year strong relationship must be doing pretty well if Liam puts up with her dog habit (which is a good one to say at the least). They do seem to love each other, even if Liam is more private. It will be fun to see if they will make their wedding public or not. For their sake, I hope that they don’t since that seems to jinx it for most people. I would love to see them keep their newlywed lives more private and keep their relationships that way. Let their fame be the reason to stay in the media, not their life together.

How do you feel about the show’s homage to them? It was sweet and the thought certainly counts. But this should be a time where we respect their privacy and not comment on their relationship. Miley and Liam are capable to make choices like marriage on their own, with no need of help from the media. So it is needless to have a video of video clips of them. It does not help them celebrate this life changing and happy moment for them. Once again, we should all say congratulations to the happy couple.
