Selena Gomez Confirms 4th Album & Talks Duets

By on June 12, 2012

Selena Gomez was at Macy’s in Herald Square where she was promoting her self-titled fragrance when MTV caught up with her. They asked her about how his music break was going and she let it slip that she will be entering the studio again this fall/winter! She also talked about the new and more mature direction that she desires to take her music next. She even drops hints about future collaborations that she would love, which include the rockers Fun & friend Taylor Swift. You can catch the full interview down below to hear what she all had to say about her 4th album that is already in the planning phase. In the mean time, here is what she had to say about starting the new album.

….I am missing music, so we’re going to start on the fourth record at the end of this year… I want to go for producers that probably wouldn’t want me to do their songs

It sounds promising from her own words that we will finally see even more adult Selena Gomez. It is great that she has spread her wings and is ready to return to music. I am sure many of her fans will be waiting very closely by to hear more about this music. However, I do suspect some will be scared to see what direction she will take it in next. It seems like we do have a long wait and while she does hint at a more mature sound, I don’t think any of us know what that all entails. We all will want to know what she means by it and I don’t think we will even have a slight clue until after she actually starts recording again.

How do you feel about this news? I think most of us all have already heard that she was heading back to the studio shortly. It wasn’t the world’s best kept secret by far. I would hope to hear more about it, but without actively working on it, how can she provide more details? Not with ease and I think we all can understand that. In the mean time though, we can wonder how much further into this so called “mature” level she and her own boyfriend keep referring to? Am I the only one who questions what could be coming next from them in terms of vision?
