One Direction Will Perform At The Closing Ceremony Of The 2012 Summer Olympics

By on June 21, 2012

The boys of One Direction will close the 2012 Summer Olympics with a very special performance! It was reported on Sunday that the London natives will sing “What Makes You Beautiful”. There will also be a stunning performance by flash mob dancers and it’s all part of the British music theme. Unfortnately, the guys are not allowed to talk about this special opportunity so all fans can do for now is anticipate the performance.

Other performers and bands that are reportedly scheduled to perform include George Michael, Take That, Emeil Sande, The Who, and Robbie Williams.

Congratulations to Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomilson, and Zayn Malik! This is truly an amazing opportunity and defining moment. They haven’t been out in the music scene very long but their impact is already so great that they were chosen to close one of the biggest events of the year. I’m positive that the guys are thrilled for this opportunity and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say about it all after the show.

Are you excited for One Direction? Do you think they’ll make their home country proud? What other opportunities do you think this will bring for them?
