One Direction Talks About the Downside of Fame

By on June 5, 2012

The Today Show caught up with One Direction and asked them how they feel about their newfound fame. The boys kept things light heart and polite, but as we all know that fame does have its downside. The boys of course were lovely and polished, which we have all come to expect from them. They even posed for photos with their adoring fans and cracked up at jokes, showing that they can indeed laugh at themselves. You can find the interview down below to see what they love and dislike about being famous. They certainly have their opinions, even if they are very polite about all of it.

I am glad that One Direction was nice about everything. They are good guys as a whole, but I am sure the whole fame gang is catching up with them at last. They will of course love parts of it, but when it really comes down to it they will also have certain parts that they do dislike. I think that just goes with the territory of their job. It is both normal and healthy in my eyes. The simple fact that they love what they do helps to cushion the pain of fame in some areas. I just hope that they can keep their heads on tight and stay away from the many issues that fame can bring. They need to stay focus on what they love, even if they did not expect all of this fame to come on them so quickly.

How do you feel about their comments? I think they did it well. I don’t feel like they over did it or under did it, they dealt with it very well. I do wish that we can see more of this side, even if they didn’t stay serious on the topic. It was a great light to see them in and also teaches us that even famous people don’t always have the best life. While they do make the most of it, we know the rumors must get to them. They are young and rumors can hurt a lot, even if you think it wouldn’t. Sure, they signed up for fame but they didn’t sign up for the issues that go alongside of fame.
