Miley Cyrus Officially Engaged To Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus is copying her brother and friend! Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ teams both confirmed to People that they are now officially engaged. The question was popped on May 31 with no other details given. We are told that Miley has a gold and 3.5 caret diamond ring. No wedding date has been released nor info on who popped the question, etc. The couple does appear to be happy about the recent development in their 3 year relationship. For those who have not been keeping up with Miley, she met Liam on the set of their movie The Last Song and have been a couple ever since. As for Miley’s comments to People, here they are.

They certainly deserve a congrats on this! I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot more about these 2 now. While it does come as a surprise, it is a sweet one at that. It doesn’t matter if you are a fan of them or not, they both do deserve happiness and I am rooting for their relationship. I would hate to see the media rip these 2 apart or spread nasty stuff about them, so I do approve over their not so open talk about it. However, it is also nice that they admitted their engagement without the help of rumors forcing them. It really helps pull things more together and shows that they want their fans to hear from them. The only real down side is the possible rumors that could be spread now about them now that they are engaged.

Are you happy for Liam and Miley? Should they televise their wedding or sell photos? I think if they know what is best for them, then they won’t do either. It just cheapens the whole thing and makes it a money grabbing deal. I would like to think that Miley and Liam will have a nice wedding that has nothing to do with the media. I wish them all the luck in the world and their fans will be rooting for them in the long term. Again, congratulations to the happy couple!
