Joe Jonas Announces New Show and Cheers On Demi Lovato

Joe Jonas finally had the chance to catch up with Ryan Seacrest to talk about his ex-girlfriend and how he is following her footsteps into being a judge/mentor on reality shows. He talked about his spot on The Choice and new CW show called The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep, where he will be a mentor living with the hopefuls. He will be their mentor and help them prepare for their big chance to become famous. It will premiere in August. As for his kind words for Demi, here is what he all had to say about her new found peace and being on The X-Factor as a judge.

She’s such in a good place right now and I know that she’s gonna be able to really influence a lot of people out there, not only people who’ve gone through tough times…It’s a great thing for her and I’m really excited.

It is great to see that Joe Jonas had kind words to say about Demi Lovato. Finally we get to hear some nice things and his high hopes in her. It is beyond time for him to be able to talk so openly about her. However, I do expect some will still find fault with it and also the fact that he is now a reality show star. Some people feel as if that is something only sellouts do, and now that 2/3 of the Jonas Brothers are reality stars, I am sure a lot of complaining will be done by fans. Even though they will have to deal with that, his show should do well on air. People love a good reality show and they love him, so it is the perfect bond of what some of his fans want.

How do you feel about his new show and comments on Demi? I think they both show a new and mature side of Joe. I think in a lot of ways he had to grow up when Demi had her issues and dealt with the media’s harsh comments. Now that he is no longer hiding, it is a sign that he is ready to be back in the spotlight. His solo album had time to do well and now he can focus on returning to TV again. Maybe he will even become a household name once again now that he returns back to TV.
