Jessica Sanchez Going from Runner Up to Glee?

The runner up to this years American Idol Jessica Sanchez may not have been the winner but she has some new opportunities knocking on the door.

Sources have rumored the Jessica is in talks for a major gig with Glee and the show writers are creating a special character just for her.  Sounds pretty awesome and do not worry fans who have purchased Idols Live Tour tickets Jessica will not be bailing on the tour.  She will be performing at the shows and won’t start working on ‘Glee’ until after the tour ends.  Jessica Sanchez is also officially going to be one of the busiest teenagers around over the next several months.  Not only will there be the tour with American Idol during the summer but there will also be an album in the works for the singer.  Jessica has explained that fans should expect a debut album sometime in the fall.

As if there weren’t already enough excitement surrounding the slightly restructured fourth season of “Glee,” with the characters’ story lines picking up after high school.  There is no word on what specific role Sanchez will play, or whether she’ll be part of McKinley High’s National Championship-winning New Directions or will surface in the form of competition at another school.  What do you think of this?
