Ed Sheeran Makes Waves On This Side Of The Pond

Music artist Ed Sheeran continues making an astounding impression on the U.S. charts with his acclaimed debut album. The album, “+” was already a record-breaking sensation in the U.K. where it entered the charts at #5. And now the U.S. is preparing for the “VH1 You Oughta Know Tour with Ed Sheeran” as it gets underway September 19^th at Boston’s House Of Blues and continues through early October. 

The mega-popular British singer is making a splash in the touring world as well as his upcoming North American headline tour has shows selling out minutes after they are made available. Sheeran’s single “The A Team” has had extensive radio support  including Clear Channel’s exclusive Artist Integration Program, the company’s groundbreaking artist development platform across CHR and Hot AC formats.  Additionally, “The A Team” is in heavy rotation at SiriusXM, top 10 at Triple A and top 20 at Hot AC.

“+” has had wide critical acclaim with rave reviews from national publications like Entertainment Weekly and People, which awarded the album 3-and-a-half (out of 4) stars, noting that Sheeran’s “folkified tunes (evoke) James Blunt and Damien Rice” while also “(boasting) a bit o’ B-boy swagger.”

Taylor Swift recently declared “+” to be her “favorite album right now,” while One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson went even further, pronouncing “+” his “favorite album of the last 12 months.”
