Drake Bell’s Ultimate Spider-Man Renewed

Good news for Drake Bell fans! Disney XD just ordered a second season of his new show, Ultimate Spider-Man. Drake, who voices Peter Parker will have a new set of heroes to work with-The Avengers and other Marvel related heroes, will be back. It is also reported that we will learn some more about the likes of Iron Fist and White Tiger (along with others). No word on when it will air or start production, but it is good news for those who want more of Drake.

I am happy that they expanded the series for a second season. Drake has a lot of talent and I think this job gives him more flexibility than a live action one would. Best of all, he has been able to spread his wings beyond Nickelodeon and will hopefully have even bigger things to work on down the road. At least in the mean time we can all sigh and know that Drake will be back at least for another season and we get to see an animated Spider-Man on TV for another year!

Are you excited to see what twist the show will take? I hear that the same team will fully return, which is good news since they all did so well the first time around. Hopefully that means we can expect many more seasons of this show if they keep everything the way it was before. My only one issue is if Drake will be able to do other kind of work such as music or even acting for studio based movies? Those are the kinds of things that I am sure he wants and we all want for him, but with ties to Nickelodeon and Disney, it seems pretty hard to see a possible way for him to do such. What do you guys think?
