Disney’s Planes & Quest for the Queen Release Delayed

By on June 14, 2012

Walt Disney has changed the official release date for Planes, the Pixar based movie modeled after Cars. It was originally slated for a spring 2013 release on home media (DVD/Blu-Ray, is now slated for a fall 2013 release. No reason was given for the delay, but they did announce it along with another movie release delay. The newest Disney fairies movie called Quest for the Queen will also be released in the spring of 2014 instead of the original date of fall 2013. As far as we know, no reason for the delays have been given for the date changes so far.

It is nice to see that they are allowing Planes to shine without the interference of one of their other movies. It is a shame that they won’t be releasing it in the theater, but I understand that they may want to save the theatrical releases for bigger movies. I suppose when it comes down to it, we are lucky to see it coming out. As for the fairies one, it is nice to see that Disney still has interests in making movies strictly for girls like they are for boys. I personally think that they could release both of them the same year, but I do admire how they want each one to shine. Either way, I do think both of the release will do well.

Are you upset over Planes delay? I am, but I understand that they have their reasons. Hopefully we can enjoy the movies once they do come out and can see the power of Disney go beyond their current trends right now. It seems like they found a way to make a happy medium between boy and girl films. Lets hope that they keep it up and make more movies like these two. Beyond that point, I do want to add and say that Planes sounds delightful when you consider that their movie Cars and it’s sequel were. It will be just like them, only about planes. What is not to love about that? The answer is nothing.
