David Archuleta’s Begin Track List & Cover Released

By on June 18, 2012

David Archuleta fans have been having an amazing week! Lots of news has come from his camp and we now have the track list for his new album Begin. It won’t be released until August 7th, but he hasn’t slowed down the promo train for his fans. He also released the cover for the album. It should be noted that this album features cover songs, which is a fun flashback for the former American Idol star. We can hopefully expect some singles off this new album. Here is the official track list for the album.

1 – Beautiful
2 – Somewhere Only We Know
3 – Everybody Hurts
4 – Don’t Give Up
5 – Angel
6 – Bridge Over Troubled Water
7 – Broken
8 – True Colors
9 – Pride (In The Name Of Love)
10 – Be Still My Soul

I am excited to hear some of these songs. It will be a lot of fun to see how he makes them work for his own range and style, yet stay true to the original. I have no doubt that he will make each song work and bring something new to them. We all know that he was the runner up for a good reason and he mostly sang nothing but covers. So it isn’t something new per se, but still is a lot of fun for the fans who want to hear more of his cover songs. He clearly knows his strong points and I am sure we can only expect the very best from him with these songs. It will be a great way to keep him on our minds while he is away for these two years.

Are you excited to hear this album? Which song are you looking forward to the most? I cannot wait to hear “Everybody Hurts” and “True Colors”. It will be fun to see how he portrays these songs and make them true to him. Both come from very popular acts and I am sure he knows that some people will be harsh to judge his renditions. Yet he chose those songs for a good reason and I am excited to see what made him choose them. As for the rest of the songs, I am sure they will be just as fabulous as those two songs will be. He has yet to let us down and I doubt that he will anytime soon.

I’m really looking forward to buying and hearing BEGIN. It’s amazing that in the 10 weeks before his mission, David managed to record two albums in addition to filming Nandito Ako and all of the other things he did. Like you, I’m excited to hear David’s rendition of True Colors and I’m excited about his original song Broken. And I look forward to hearing his voice on all those songs. BTW if anyone’s on twitter David is DavidArchie there.
