Pixar’s Brave Clip: Cutting Class

By on May 29, 2012

Disney has released a new clip from their upcoming princess movie called Brave, which is slated for a June 22 release. This clip (or featurette as they call it) is entitled “Cutting Class”. It shows the family of Merida clowning around again with her father allowing her to skip class, hence the title of the clip. Once again they release a humorous clip to help build more excitement for their newest princess movie in a year and a half. Disney seems to be eager to release it after the flop from March of this year. You can see the short clip down at the bottom if you wish to see more of their upcoming movie.

I know Disney is hoping that Pixar can save them once again. Disney’s earnings have not been the greatest for a while and while they did recently see an increase thanks to The Avengers, they still need to recoup all of money lost. The good news is that I do think Brave has a good shot at being something that they really will see an increase of earnings with it. It seems like the movie will be the needed boost that they need and also provide them the wider selection that they want. Since Merida will be more of a tomboy than anything, she will please both little boys and girls alike. Or at least that is what I think will likely happen for Disney and Pixar with this movie.

Are you excited for the movie? At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it based on the concept, but it has grown on me. Now I feel like it is something that I can get behind and support. I just hope that we can all find a reason to enjoy it and help bring Disney back up. They could really use a hit and it sounds like this one has more going for it than others. I just hope that Disney does one day returns to what made them famous from the start with simple and sweet movies. That was where they shined the most and it could help them rebuild the empire that they are losing ground on right now.
