Miley Cyrus: I Am Not & Never Was Hannah Montana

By on May 21, 2012

Miley Cyrus recently gave a new interview to the new Lifetime show called The Conversation. She talked about growing up and how she wanted to leave the business for a while. She also talks about how she had to learned to be herself, which she claims she struggled with but won in the end. You can watch the interview that ends at 9:05 at the bottom of this post. It is an insightful interview for those who are interested in Miley and trying to understand her reason for leaving show biz behind for a good while. It will certainly leave you wondering a lot more, but it will make you happy to see that she is slowly talking about it.

I am personally surprised that she agreed to do the interview. She seemed like she really did not want to speak out about it at all, but it is good that she is slowly is. I personally agree with her time away from the spotlight, but I do think she needs to be mindful about her comeback. I don’t know if she realizes that a lot of people are already judging her, which is not right, but if she wants to avoid it, she should consider what she can do to avoid that from the start.

How do you feel about this interview? I feel like it was a tad mature, but Miley Cyrus is 19 and I suppose we can expect that from her. She seems to be old enough to really make those changes, yet she will always face those issues. I don’t think many people never realize that she not the character she played (Hanna Montana) on a TV show. She clearly wants to break free from her Disney image and that is a shame that people always expect her to stay that way. Yet, I do think she could have conducted herself in a better way to break free from that chain.
