Jessica Simpson Welcomes Baby Girl

By on May 2, 2012

After months of speculation, Jessica Simpson confirmed her pregnancy in October and we have even more months of waiting for the birth. Finally after 9 months of jokes, fashion no-no’s and rumors, she welcomed her 9 lb and 13 ounces. Hopefully the jokes of her being pregnant forever will end now and they can enjoy their little daughter. Her name is Maxwell Drew Johnson, whose names come from both Jessica and Eric Johnson’s different sides of the families. As for their future wedding date, they still have yet to confirm one.

Well, first let us say a big congrats to the family! This is a day they will never forget and hopefully will enjoy ever moment of it. Granted, this is also a huge change for them. However, I do think that they should be ready now for Maxwell. They had a long time to prepare for her and now Jessica can focus on raising her child. However, I doubt the media will let go of her weight gain from her pregnancy, which is a shame since her baby is healthy and so is she. As for the name, I would think that Maxine would have been a better pick. But I do give her credit for not naming her after food.

How do you feel about her name? It is more normal than some, but not very feminine. It is a shame, but as long as they call her Maxi like they planned it should be okay. I am sure they will dress her in a lot of pink and she can always change her name later on. I would just think that Jessica would loved to give her daughter a full feminine name, but she did surprise us by far. You will find the video of the announcement down below.
