GRAVITY FALLS From Disney Channel And Alex Hirsch
Gravity Falls is coming to Disney this June and I have no idea how I missed this announcement? Well here I am to tell you how excited I am for this show. My boys are huge fans of Alex Hirsch with his work on Fish Hooks plus adding Kristen Schaal who played Trixie in Toy Story 3 is also some great news. The thing though that interests me the most is the story, where we get a little Sci Fi I am hoping? I could be wrong, but I would like to think Gravity Falls brings some sort of Sci Fi element to the table and I am quite happy with the animation style as well.
Here I go in hoping that this will be enjoyable to team C the 6 and 8 year old boys in the house, and I am all in on Gravity Falls. Brother and Sister teams are always a good idea in cartoons, it gives that nice balance to play to both sides. Do we have a real release date for this or is the month of June all we have at this point? Check out the photo above and get amped for a new show coming to the Disney Channel.
GRAVITY FALLS – Premiering in June, this clever, unexpected approach to animated comedy is helmed by its creator, executive-producer/director Alex Hirsch, a 2007 Cal Arts graduate. His college short, “Off the Wall,” garnered attention from notable animation blogs Drawn! and Cartoon Brew, as well as Cold Hard Flash. He subsequently worked as a writer/storyboard artist on “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack” and developed Disney Channel’s “Fish Hooks.” He is also the voice of Clamantha on that series. His ingenious new series “Gravity Falls” follows twin brother and sister Dipper and Mabel, whose summer plans are ruined when their parents ship them off to spend the summer with their Great Uncle Stan in the very strange town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. The voice cast is: Jason Ritter (“Parenthood”), Kristen Schaal (“Flight of the Conchords,” “Toy Story 3″) and Alex Hirsch. It is a production of Disney Television Animation.
