Demi Lovato Getting Major Loot For Judging

Demi Lovato and Britney Spears have both been confirmed by Fox to be the new judges on the second season of X Factor competition show but it looks like there is a bit of a gap in what the two will be bringing in.

While Britney will be bringing in $15 million paycheck for just one season, Demi will only be raking in $1 million for one season.  Although, sources close to the project say that Demi seems to be fine with the pay difference seeing as how Britney has a recognizable career and is rather huge compared to her own – so far.  Spears, 30, and former Disney Channel star Lovato, 19, are expected to bring in bigger, and more importantly younger, audiences when the singing contest returns for its second season on U.S. television in September after a weaker-than-expected debut in 2011.  But this could be a huge mistake for Fox.  While the names of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will certainly bring in a lot of PR for X Factor it is uncertain if the hype will continue to follow through.

Before Season One aired Simon Cowell had promised to trounce American Idol in ratings and had a sure fire judging panel.  Unfortunately, X Factor barely pulled in half the same numbers as American Idol.  What do you think of the new Judging panel?

Editor Note: I am very excited for Demi Lovato to be on network television, and I think if they let her personality shine through, people who have not really followed her will fall in love with her. I hope this leads to some movie roles and such.
