Brave: Merida’s Father Tells Tale of Himself & Bears

Pixar is having a blast releasing promos for the June 22nd movie, Brave. Now that they released one in honor of Mother’s Day, they released one with Merida’s father (Fergus) talking about his show down with a bear. You can catch the fun clip down below, where she had a way of ruining his tale! You may find yourself laughing along with it, so be sure you are in a place that you do not have to be quiet.

I have to say, the more I see clips the more I like it. I wasn’t so sure at first if it was something that I would be interested in since it is so different, but it does sound funny. I do love how they make it take place in Europe and also give them all a different look. I think it adds to this story and might make it appeal more to those who were sick of the same ol’ same ol’ princess stories. This one can certainly count as one of the more dramatic Disney fairy tales.

How do you feel about the clip? It is cute, but I do wish he could have told it. Merida seems like she might be a tad too mean for my own personal liking. I would much rather find a clip that flatters her, which I have yet to find. I suppose we will have to wait until I see the movie to make my full mind up. I just hope that in the end she will be a likeable character who isn’t too mean. I can take sassy or even smart mouthed, but to purposely ruin things for others-no I do not support that. How do you guys feel about that part of her character in the movie?
