Annoying Orange Set to Join the Cartoon Network
The Cartoon Network is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary by adding the Annoying Orange to its regular programming.
The hit YouTube comedy which has boasted over 1 Billion online viewers has now been transformed to a new television series that follows Orange and his buddies as they go on a wide range of adventures. The adventures will take them from the fruit stand to parts unknown and everything in between. The show is centered on Orange (voiced by Dane Boedigheimer the creator), who resides on a kitchen counter with other objects such as his best friend Pear, a Bartlett pear (also voiced by Boedigheimer). Other fruits include Passion, a female passionfruit played by Justine Ezarik, grapefruit, a tiny apple known as Midget Apple (though he prefers the name Little Apple), a small marshmallow, and an elderly lemon named Grandpa Lemon,
Most episodes consist of Orange heckling other characters until they meet a sudden and gruesome end, usually by evisceration with a chef’s knife and many other ways. It is uncertain if the show will follow close to the same format or where the changes will happen to make it more fitted to TV. The show is set to premiere on June 11th. What do you think of Annoying Orange joining the Cartoon Network family?
