The Hunger Games Doll Line Includes Katniss and Peeta

Thanks to the massive success of The Hunger Games, many companies are jumping at the chance to make dolls or action figures of the characters. So it comes as no surprise Tonner Doll Company has announced that they will be releasing a doll collection. They even released two behind-the-scenes videos of the Peeta doll and Katniss’s mocking jay pin. You will find both videos down below, along with their official press release about the exciting launch.

I have to say that I am most excited about this line. I think that they are working hard to make sure that these dolls are as close to perfection as they can get it. Plus with their history of amazing doll collections, I am sure these ones won’t fail to impress us at all. By the looks of it, I am sure that they are mastering the design of the dolls and won’t release them with any flaws. I hope that we will see more photos of them as we get closer to their release date.

How do you feel about these new dolls? I am really excited to see the finished product! I can only picture how many orders they will get, thanks to their skills and history it will likely be a hit. I personally wish that we could know more info already, but I know that they cannot give away too many details. I wonder if they are excited for the release? It seems like the idea has been welcomed warmly, so I would think they cannot wait to see how many they do sell once they are released. Now for the videos and press release!

Tonner Doll Company, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of high-end collectible dolls and figures, has been granted the license for character figures based on the film The Hunger Games, which arrived in theaters nation-wide on March 23, 2012.

Sculpted in the likenesses of the film’s lead characters – Katniss Everdeen (as portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta Mellark (as portrayed by Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (as portrayed by Liam Hemsworth), the TONNER CHARACTER FIGURE™ (TCF) dolls are fully-authorized and highly-collectible.

The Hunger Games TONNER CHARACTER FIGURES™ will range from 16″-17″ tall with multiple articulated joints for expressive poses and mobility. In keeping with the fine detail and high-end quality of Tonner’s other popular product lines, they will feature hand-painted facial features, and high quality Saran hair.

Robert Tonner, CEO and acclaimed doll artist, will be overseeing the creation of the unique figures, which will be made to a ¼ scale. With authentic costuming based on actual costume samples from the film that were provided by the production, no detail will be overlooked, and the dolls will be sure to satisfy even the most attentive fans.

… Tonner Doll has found great success with cinema-inspired dolls and figures, and their repertoire has included the likes of Harry Potter, Twilight, Pirates of the Caribbean and Gone with the Wind, to name just a few.

Prior to their official release, you can catch a sneak peek preview of Tonner’s Hunger Games figures on the company Facebook page: Follow Tonner’s Facebook status updates for dates and other details.
