Robert Pattinson In Newest Promo

By on April 27, 2012

Robert Pattinson has appeared in the new TV spot for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Despite of the changes in how the awards will be awarded, many still have high hopes for a very Twilight theme year. You will find the clip down below for the June 3rd show. Be warned that it is a short clip and poor Rob does not get much love for his Edward Cullan character in it.

I am happy that he has a chance to be in the TV spot, even if it is short. I still hope that they do win a lot of awards since they have worked so hard for. While fans will still have a chance to vote, a board picked b MTV will have more of a say and that might not be good news for everyone. I liked the way that fans could control it and it felt more fair. Now with this group of people weighing in, I can only see more issues being caused by it in the future.

How do you feel about this news? Does it make it more fair or not? Also, do you like Robert Pattinson being in the TV spot? I like him being in the spot and I do hope that the awards won’t be rigged. That is my biggest concern regarding this and it doesn’t provide me with a lot of hope for them. I do hope that I am wrong on this, but I do doubt it. It seems like they want to prevent repeat winners and make it more fixed than it was before. By all means I don’t think this will help their case of being taken as a more serious award show. It will never be as serious as The Oscars no matter what they do.

Why bother having the fans vote if a board picked by MTV can change the vote?

no they can´t change the winners, the board is only there to pick the nominees which in any case is still fixed because they were completely biased in only giving twilight only 2 nominees compared to The hunger games and bridesmaids 8 (or such) nominees.
