Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Breaking Dawn Part 2 Being Delayed Rumors

By on April 17, 2012

Bill Condon had to clear up rumors after the word got out that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson had to head back to Canada for Breaking Dawn Part 2 re-shoots. Many assume that mean the movie won’t make it for the November 16th release, which he denied. He went to Facebook to address the rumors and made fans feel a sense of relief that no lines are being changed or added, they just wanted to re-shoot a couple of scenes to make it perfect for the fans. Here is what he all had to say about the scene re-shoot.

Hello Twihards!

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.

A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece – each shot, no matter how brief – needed to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots – the last tiny missing pieces. We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.

I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…

I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters – they’re unlike any “Twilight” images you’ve seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!

Until then, have a very happy spring, and I’ll check back in with you soon.

Best wishes,
Bill

I am glad to know that the movie won’t be delayed. Everybody has that date set in their heart and we all want to see how they make it end. But I know a lot of big movies have to re-shoot scenes sometimes, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 had to. It is a shame, but I do understand on how they would want it to flow. I hope that they can make the most of these memories since this will be the last time they get to do the series.

How do you feel about this re-shoot? Do you feel they make things less authentic than if they kept the originals? I don’t see it that way. I think they just want their art to be as close to perfect as they can get it and I cannot blame them for that at all. I think anyone who is creative can attest to that. Nobody wants an imperfect art at all and movies are no different from that.
