Niall Horan of One Direction Dislikes Australian Delicacy

One Direction’s Niall Horan is very much a solid Irish person! One Direction recently visited Australia and tried the Australian delicacy Vegemite! The yeast based spread is their answer to peanut butter, but stronger tasting. Poor guy could not stand the flavor, despite of trying the much-hyped popularity of the food. You will find the video clip of his reaction down below, where you can see what he does with it. Be warned, some might be grossed out by what happens if you have a weak stomach and cannot stand the idea of wet food!

I never tried it and I am not sure how I would react. I have heard so many mixed thoughts on it and I don’t know if it is one of those things that require an acquired taste for or not. I personally do think he could have handled it with a bit more class. But I cannot really blame him here since I am not the one who had to taste it. By the looks of it, it could have not been easy for him.

Have you ever tried it? If so, did you like it? I know you can buy it at World Market stores and possibly online if you do not live in Australia. I do wonder how their fans from there feel about his reaction? It clearly is not personal about them or their country. He clearly is not used to the item and I will say yeast is strong flavored. So it makes sense that it might shock him. How do you feel about his reaction? Was it classy or rude of him to do what he did? It wasn’t the way that I would handle, but then again he might have not known he was on camera at that exact moment.
